Royal Art Gallery Tour

The Queen Kapi’olani Hotel is resting on lands once reserved for Hawaiian ali’i – or royalty. These stories and more make up the rich history of Waikiki and Honolulu as a favored place for kama’aina and guests to gather and mingle.

Native Hawaiians made lei for one another with different flowers and materials, and included many sacred uses most notably when worn signified peace between opposing chiefs.

Work with master lei maker Meleana Estes, for an interactive experience to learn more about the art of lei making and the vibrant and colorful history fo thew Hawaiian people in this with a DIY haku lei making workshop.
